Proud Sponsor of the 10th Festival of Pacific Arts

Proud Bronze Sponsor of the 10th Festival of Pacific Arts

RC Holsinger Associates is a proud sponsor of the 10th Festival of Pacific Arts held by the American Samoa.

An opportunity “to help American Samoa shine” prompted John Holt, President of RC Holsinger Associates, P.C. to become a Bronze Sponsor of the 10th Festival of Pacific Arts.

“Our goal in sponsorship is to give back to the American Samoans. This is a great event, and we would like to encourage other companies on the island to step up to the plate and be a sponsor,” adds Holt.

American Samoa’s hosting of this year’s Festival provides both economic challenges and rewards. By showcasing the region’s art and culture, the Festival generates excitement and pride, as well as increased tourism. Other intangibles include an increased sense of inter-regional identity and solidarity. Sponsorship of the event is a way of demonstrating a desire to protect and promote the area’s culture.

Festival Marketing Officer Teri Hunkin appreciates businesses with that desire. “I’m very grateful for each company that comes forward to help American Samoa host this Festival,” she says. “As you can imagine, it’s an enormous undertaking in every way, full of challenges. But I believe that the arts and traditions of the Pacific people are worth every effort and worth every penny spent to highlight and promote their transcendent beauty; because art, in the end, is everyone’s legacy. With the support of our business community and the generosity of longstanding friends and associates such as RC Holsinger, the Festival of Pacific Arts will be the wonderful event that it is meant to be.”

RC Holsinger Associates, a western Pennsylvania accounting firm, also wants to see American Samoa benefit. The firm has been auditing on the island since 2001.

“As businesses, we all need to give back to the community,” says Holt. “One way is to support events that bring people to American Samoa and allow them to see it in a good light.”
